Starting a roadtrip includes booking our flights! One interesting thing about Sicilia is that there are two main airports: one at Palerme (the main one) and one at Catane (the second one). And I fast realized that the second one was cheaper. Here I come with a one-way ticket with Transavia (leaving at 16h30) and a return with Vueling (leaving at 9h30) for a total cost of 180€ per person.
Now it’s time to decide where to go and plan everything. We did all the main cities and sites except Taormina wich was closed due to the G7. Here is our roadtrip:

Day 0 : Arrival at Catane (around 19h)
Day 2 : Typical villages visit + afternoon at the beach
Day 3 : Eolie Island excursion – Stromboli & Panarea + walk in Milazzo
Day 4 : Eolie Island excursion – Lipari & Vulcano
Day 5 : Céfalù visit + afternoon at the beach
Day 6 : Palerme visit +afternoon at the beach
Day 7 : Hiking at Zingaro natural park + Erice visit + Segesta’s temples visit
Day 8 : Morning at Scala dei Turchi + Agrigente’s temple visit
Day 9 : Syracuse visit + hiking at Cava Grande natural park
Day 10 : Catane visit
Day 11 : Back home
PS: in Italy you must by an adaptator because your electronic devices will no fit! Here is one simple at 10€, and another with a USB section at 19,99€. I bought the second one because it was the rush on the evening to recharge our watches, cellphones, computer and GoPro.
