Focus on MEME, first cosmetic brand dedicated to women with cancer

On the occasion of Pink October, a month dedicated to the mobilization around breast cancer, we invite you to discover MEME, the first cosmetics brand dedicated to women with cancer, who for the occasion launches its full range of nails skincare products.

MEME, it’s first of all a family story. It all started in 2010, when Judith’s mother, one of the two founders, died of cancer. Cancer that has never diverted from its appeal for fashion, makeup. Indeed, throughout her illness, Judith’s mother continued to maintain her femininity with various cosmetic products. It was at this point that a problem was raised that MEME decided to solve: how to find cosmetics adapted to women under treatment? It is in front of the difficulty met by her mother that the idea of MEME was born in the spirit of Judith.

But MEME, it’s also a story of friendship. In 2014, Judith completed her end-of-study internship at l’Oréal Luxe, where she met Juliette, a former student of SciencesPo and HEC, who was also doing her final year internship. The two girls sympathize and very quickly Judith tells Juliette about her project of a brand that would be dedicated to women with cancer. She is immediately moved by this initiative, having herself been touched very closely by cancer, many women in her family have gone through this ordeal.

  • Mist for the scalp: it responds to the specific needs of the scalp weakened by anti-cancer treatments and the wearing of the wig.
  • The washing oil for the body: it gently cleans the skin weakened by the anti-cancer treatments.
  • The face cream: it softens and nourishes the skin. It is also suitable for the most sensitive skin!
  • The cream for the body: it gently hydrates the most fragile skin. Its components are of 97% natural origin.
  • Care for the nails: it fights against the weakening and the splitting of the nails. It can be applicable even over the varnish and does not require a rinsing of the hands after application.
  • And lastly, the latest range of products to date, comprehensive care for nails composed of: a fortifying varnish available in 4 colors: top coat (transparent), pink, red and blackcurrant, as well as a protective base.

These products are available on the brand’s eshop website, in pharmacies, and in specialized stores.

MEME also offers beauty and skincare advice for women under treatment, many articles are available on the brand’s website, such as make-up, hair and well-being tips, such as how to promote hair regrowth after cancer or how to combine sport and cancer with yoga. There are also articles on the theme of cancer, such as returning to work or finding out more about complementary medicines.
